So why #daxxify ??? Well for starters it may last up to twice as long as conventional frown line treatments for some.

Conventional frown line treatments such as botox May last 3-4 months. At least 50% of patients in clinical studies had no or minor frown lines 6 months after treatment with DAXXIFY®. In other safety studies, between 5% and 17% of patients still had noticeable improvement 9 months later.

Ankyloglossia - also known as a tongue tie - is treated with a quick 5 minute procedure. The attachment of the tongue can extend all the way to the tip severely limiting movement which can have a large impact on speech and sometimes even sleep. We quickly release the muscle attachment and place stitches to create a more appropriate shape to the underside of the tongue. Pain from this procedure is extremely low.

Starting off this week strong from a really successful weekend volunteering at the @seattlekingcountyclinic 🤩 this was such a great and organized event. The clinic provides so many amazing resources, from having anxiety dogs 🐕 for anxious patients to interpreters in all different languages, we were so impressed and happy to help out where we could.

Dr Epstein and @bea_weave93 provided over $18,000 of surgical care on Saturday at the Seattle/King County Clinic. We treated patients from all over the globe including Brazil, Japan, Fiji, Tonga, Portugal, Russia, Angola and Vietnam. The patients we treated typically have difficulty accessing care. The organization of the event was impressive and we will be back for our fifth year next year! #oralsurgery #givingback

This is example of the removal of deeply impacted canines in an adult. This patient had brackets placed in another office to attempt to pull the teeth into the mouth, due to the bone density there was no movement and the impacted canines needed to be removed. Once we removed the impacted canines, we grafted the sites and he will be getting implants to replaced the impacted teeth. The xray shows the deep position of the teeth in the upper jaw.

Here is another example of the Xguide being used for implant placement. We have been using this visualization and guidance tool for 4 years and perfromed 100’s of cases.

Notice that when we perform the surgery I am more ergonomically looking at the screen and not directly at the surgical site. This gives more room and visualization to my surgical assistant. The target view zooms in on our goal of the angle and depth to place the implant. Take a look how accurate this tool is, we were off of our plan by 0.2 degrees, no other guidance mechanism can beat that.

Another major benefit to the patient is that we don’t have to strip the gingival tissue away to visualize the site, which is necessary for implant placement without this guidance.
