Dr. Milda Chmieliauskaite grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she was an active member of the American Lithuanian community spending her time in dance ensembles, camping with scouts, and volunteering at kid’s camps.
Dr. Chmieliauskaite completed her B.S. in Biology at The Ohio State University and her master’s in public health along with her dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She subsequently completed her Oral Medicine Residency and served as Chief Resident at Penn Medicine Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
It was her love of nature and teaching that brought her and her family to Seattle where she is currently the Oral Medicine Residency Program Director at the University of Washington and an Attending at the UW Medical Center. Previously she was an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University. She is actively involved in research and has worked and published on burning mouth syndrome, temporomandibular disorders, and oral complications of cancer therapy among other topics.
As a board-certified specialist in Oral Medicine, Dr. Chmieliauskaite is uniquely qualified to provide care for individuals with oral mucosal conditions, temporomandibular disorders, orofacial pain conditions, salivary gland disorders, dry mouth, and complications of cancer or other therapies. Her passion for learning, collaborative multidisciplinary care, and patient well-being drive her to continuously improve and find innovative solutions for a wide range of patient concerns.
In her free time, Dr. Chmieliauskaite loves to spend time with her spouse and two daughters gardening, cross country skiing, camping, and exploring new places.
