- Treated areas should be cleansed 1 part 3% Hydrogen Peroxide and 1 part water OR with gentle, unscented soap and water 3 times per day. Pat to dry, do not wipe or rub the area
- Only use antibiotics ointment given to you and apply to the area after each cleansing. If you were not given ointment, you may use Vaseline or Neosporin
- Do not remove any adhesive strips or sutures. If required, you will have an appointment for suture removal
- Do not pick at the area
- Do not use lotions or powders on the area
- Do not expose the area to direct sunlight
- Bruising, tenderness, swelling, or itching are all normal signs of healing
- If the area is hot to the touch, appears to have discharge with a bad odor, area not closing properly, excessive redness, excessive bleeding or increased pain contact our office immediately
