Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is a cosmetic procedure that removes or repositions excess skin, fat, and muscle from the upper and/or lower eyelids. It helps reduce puffiness, sagging, and tired-looking eyes for a refreshed appearance.
Ideal candidates are healthy adults who want to improve sagging eyelids, puffiness, or under-eye bags. If droopy eyelids interfere with your vision, blepharoplasty may also help improve sight. A consultation is the best way to confirm candidacy.
Most patients return to normal activities within 7–10 days. Bruising and swelling typically subside within two weeks. Full healing and final results can take a few months, but downtime is minimal compared to other procedures.
Incisions are placed in the natural creases of your eyelids, making scars barely visible once healed. With proper aftercare, they usually fade significantly over time.
Results can last 10–15 years or longer, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aging process. Many patients only need the procedure once.
